Alfio Bonnano

Alfio Bonanno is an internationally recognized Sicilian-born Land Art artist, photographer, and visual artist.

Alfio Bonanno (b. 1947) is a trained visual artist who made his breakthrough in Denmark in 1989 with an exhibition at Charlottenborg. He was born in Sicily and grew up in both Italy and Australia but moved to Langeland in 1975, where he has had a significant impact on the island's artistic community. Bonanno has exhibited worldwide and received several international awards for his work, including the prestigious OSSI (Ordine della Solidarietà Italiana) – the Italian Knight's Cross – in 2006.

Alongside his large sculptural installations, Bonanno also works with painting, drawing, and photography.
